A barge on the Grand Union Canal near Macclesfield Bridge (near the North Gate of the Park) and the imposing pillared centre portion of the Terrace designed by the architect John Nash (1752–1835). The house later became the home of Sir Isaac Lyon Goldsmid, financier, philanthropist and one of the founders of London University.
